RENOVATE the WOUNDED WARRIOR WARD at BLDG. 1
NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER
SAN DIEGO, CA

This was a design/build project to renovate the entire 8,000 sf Wounded Warrior Ward to accommodate traumatically injured service members from Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.  The ward included patient rooms, exam rooms, storage rooms, therapy rooms, and bathrooms.  New work included new partition walls, new flooring and ceilings, new metal doors, new signage, and new finishes.  MEP work included new and reconfigured fire sprinkler lines, new HVAC ductwork and registers, upgrading the chilled water systems, new telecom, new electrical with light fixtures, a new nurse station, and a new central admin. work area.  MTM crews completed all work except MEP work.

Final Cost:  $3,201,090

RENOVATE IN-PATIENT WARD 3 EAST,
BUILDING 1
NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER
SAN DIEGO, CA

This was a design/build project to renovate the existing 12,000 sf Labor and Delivery ward. New work included bathroom fixtures and accessories, partition walls and ceilings, flooring and finishes. MEP work included upgrading ductwork and diffusers with seismic supports, expanded power, new ABA/ADA shower in patient rooms and re-routing gas lines. Other work included new steel office doors and hardware, auto entrance doors, lockers, cabinets and central admin. area, upgraded fire sprinkler, alarm and mass communication systems, new kitchen/lounge area for staff, new nurse stations with call systems. Work performed by MTM crews included re-routing of med gas lines, partition walls and finishes, installing new doors and hardware.

Final Cost:  $3,180,881

RESTORE RESTROOMS at BLDG. 1
NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER
SAN DIEGO, CA

This was a design/build project to renovate approximately 37 existing restrooms inside the main medical center bldg. to meet ADA, NFPA, UFC and other applicable standards and to build two new accessible toilet rooms.  New work included new HVAC, partition walls, bathroom fixtures, wall/floor finishes. The design contained sustainable strategies and features to minimize the consumption of energy, conserve resources, minimize adverse effects to the environment, improve occupant productivity, health and comfort and to reduce the total cost of ownership of the project using a whole-building, life-cycle approach.  MTM Builders crews completed all the work except the MEP work.

Final Cost:  $2,186,551

CONSTRUCT RADIOLOGY CONFERENCE
ROOM
NAVAL MEDICAL CENTER
SAN DIEGO, CA

This was a design/build project to convert an existing 2100 sf storage room at NMCSD into a conference room, lecture hall, and office space for the radiology dept. The new work included fire sprinklers, fire alarm, air handlers, partition walls and finishes, carpet and new paint. Conference Room and Lecture Hall included new tables, chairs, and furnishings with the lecture hall getting a new wireless interactive audience response system, a remote touch screen-controlled audio/visual system and a high definition 16’x16’ video wall. MTM crews completed all work except the MEP work, and the AV work.

Final Cost:  $1,500,244

RENOVATE 4TH FLOOR RESTROOMS
SHARP HEALTHCARE GROSSSMONT MEDICAL PLAZA
LA MESA, CA

This was a design/build project to upgrade two of the all-gender restrooms on the 4th floor of Sharp Grossmont Medical Plaza to be compliant with ADA regulations.  Work included infection control at the bathrooms and above and below the bathrooms, demolition of the existing bathrooms, new framing/drywall for new partition walls, new plumbing and fixtures, new HVAC diffusers/grilles, new light fixtures, new fire sprinkler heads, new fire alarm devices, new floor and wall tile, new toilet accessories; new acoustic ceilings; and new paint.  MTM Builders’ crews completed all work except MEP work.

Final Cost:  $160,619
